The Eternal Optimist's Song

id never really known about the wonder that is cat stevens until say, a few years ago. for me, he was only ever someone my mum used to talk about, because he's a convert and all that jazz. but i heard this song, and fell in love with it. its about eternal optimism, i feel. and its so joyful, i mean, everything is practically going wrong, yet you still find the beauty in it all. i attach the lyrics just to convince you of what a beautiful piece this is. i would also like to inform you that my children are going to grow up listening to this.

I'm being followed by a moon shadow
Moon shadow moon shadow
Leaping and hopping on a moon shadow
Moon shadow moon shadow

And if I ever lost my hands
Lose my plough, lose my land
Oh, if I ever lose my hands- Oh, if...
I wont have to work no more

And if I ever lose my eyes
If my colours all run dry
And if I ever lose my eyes - Oh,
I won't have to cry no more

Yes, I'm being followed by a moon shadow
Moon shadow moon shadow
Leaping and hopping on a moonshadow
Moon shadow moon shadow

And if I ever lose my legs
I won't moan and I won't beg
Oh if I ever lose my legs- Oh if...
I won't have to walk no more

And if I ever lose my mouth
All my teeth, north and south
Yes, if I ever lose my mouth- Oh if...
I won't have to talk...

Did it take long to find me
I ask the faithful light

Did it take long to find me
And are you going to stay the night

I'm being followed by a moon shadow
Moon shadow moon shadow
Moon shadow moon shadow
Moon shadow moon shadow

now, wasnt that something?

. there are also a few other things id like to tell you. my life is missing a swim suit for example. i need a swimming suit, so i can swim and then swim. i love swimming.

. ive watched hum hain rahi pyar ke countless times. countless. at one point of time, i used to watch it once everyday. ask my mum. for that reason, i know almost all the dialogues from the movie. sometimes im so convincing, i can even switch accents.

. nothing completes my life more than Vicks. i know it sounds sad, but its true.

. when i was a teeny weeny junior high kid, i played the teacup from beauty and the beast on our annual day, better known to us as Honours Day. i was a very bad teacup, because my teapot kept roping me back in and id keep abandoning her. my teacup was made out of styrofoam.

. i have a sneaky weaky feeling that Sahil Rizwan may have just visited my blog.

. if you love me, you'll know that i love fireworks. and you'll show them to me!
