Chow Yun Fatt, Ken Watanabe and Jackie Chan are not representative of the entire East Asian region. Considering there's so many of us in every damn country, kindly stop resting on your laurels, audition more talents and then make a movie.
I've always known I'd make a good actor, they should pick me to be in a movie, and let it not be just about asian martial arts or whatever
what's really funny about hollywood is they're thinking they're spreading real stories about our region, PAH! What I don't get is why we have to be depicted as 'exotic' or 'oriental' and not real, tangible people with voices of our own.
if you ever get the chance, you should try taking postcolonial literature. its a subject i missed out on taking in uni, and one that im sure you'd enjoy. perhaps your answers are residing in those lectures. (:
